JOINT CONFERENCE INFORMATION

The Joint Conference and AAPPS Council Meeting:

The Institut Fizik Malaysia (IFM) have been organizing the International Meeting on Frontier Physics (IMFP) for the past 25 years at 2-3 years intervals. These events often concur with other events such as the AAPPS annual council meetings, international workshop and symposiums, in order to offer Malaysian physicists' opportunities for interactions.

The IMFP-2026 this year will be held in The Waterfront Hotel, situated at the riverfront of Sarawak River in Kuching City, on the northern west coast of the Borneo Island of Malaysia. This conference will be strengthened by the presence of the AAPPS Council members for their annual meeting, of which some may deliver the plenary or invited talks during the IFM2026.

IFM will also co-organize with the Asian Intense Laser Network (AILN) and host the ASILS-14 concurrently with IFMP-2026. It will be the second ASILS in Malaysia. While IMFP will receive a wide range of good physicists and graduate students, ASILS-14 will strengthen the event with experts in the areas of ultrafast phenomenon and strong field physics, from several key facilities in Korea, Japan, China and Romania. In particular, some plenary speakers will also be nominated from the ASILS-14.

All participants of the joint conference are free to attend any session in either conference, IMFP-2026 or ASILS-14.
